Along with the traditional and familiar wood pet urn, ceramic pet urns are probably the next most popular type of pet cremation urn and the one most people think of when thinking of urns for pets.
The traditional vase shape or 'ginger jar' pet urn is commonly seen and as well as ceramic pet urns can be found in many other types of material such as marble, brass and other metals.
The urns for pet ashes pictured below are carved from solid marble by artisans, ensuring each one is completely unique as no two pieces of marble are ever the same. The marble is then carefully polished to a semi gloss shine and your pet's ashes can be inserted into the top of the urn. The pet urn is then sealed with a plastic plug and in this case a clear plastic sealant is also provided to secure the lid onto the urn, further protecting your pet's ashes.

The cremation urns for pets below are also in the traditional vase style shape and are actually constructed from solid brass, another common material used for both pet urns and also human urns.
These urns for pet ashes are also engraveable on the urn itself as can be seen in the image below.

The next ceramic pet urns I'd like to share with you are some of my favourites. Although all made from porcelain they have broken away from the traditional vase and wood pet urn shapes and styles and have a more unique feel about them.
The Angel urns for pet ashes are particular favourites of mine as they combine urns for pets with a beautiful angel figurine and also include an engraveable plate which you can remove and take or send to be engraved with your pet's details.

These Angel themed ceramic pet urns also go one step further by not only combining an angel figurine and a pet cremation urn, but also a photo frame so you can include a photo of your beloved pet alongside their ashes. Whilst these particular ceramic pet urns are intended for smaller sized pets, you could if you wish also use them as 'keepsake' urns for pet ashes and just place a small amount of your pet's ashes in them.

The next of the ceramic pet urns I'd like to share with you is an unusual shape and features 'forget me nots' a flower traditionally associated with grief and loss as part of the design. It also includes an engraveable pewter plate that you can remove and send or take to be engraved with your pet's details.

There are now a wealth of pet cremation urns available which not only provides us more choice as pet owners but also helps to highlight our need to grieve for our beloved pets. The greater the choice available the more we are able to choose urns for pet ashes that are in keeping with our own style and preferences but they also give us a unique way to commemorate our pets.
Whilst there are many styles and sizes available it is important to check that the urn you are intending to purchase is the correct size to hold your pet's ashes. Too big a pet urn is fine as it will hold your pet's ashes and may also offer the option of keeping more than one pet's ashes together, but too small and you may be disappointed. Most suppliers of pet urns provide clear instructions of how to measure if a pet urn is the correct size but it can still be confusing even if you know how to work this out.
All of the above featured urns include detailed and helpful information in the item descriptions of exactly which size pets they are suitable for.
