Wow! No matter how big or tiny our beloved's are, it's a tremendous loss. They were our soul mates. I liked your touching segment when you said, the love we got to know and share with our pets makes the grief worth it; it's just very hard when we go through it. This gives me a better peace, knowing our precious pets (and future pets) are significant to us. I lost my beloved Spike - my 10 yr old yellow lab 3 wks ago. I cry everyday for him and miss him terribly ..and always will.

Thanks for sharing. Rats do receive terrible PR and totally undeservedly. I guess they just aren't 'fashionable' but I know myself they make lovely pets.
It's so hard when you lose many pets over a such a short period of time, but as you say you know deep down that you wouldn't change a thing.
