Draco was given to my daughter when he was 4 weeks old. He was such a good natured cat. He learned my work schedule and started waking me up for work. When I returned home Draco would be waiting for me. He followed me throughout the house. We were very close and spent a lot of time together playing and yes he understood me whenever I wanted to have a conversation with him. Sometimes he would respond back.
Draco was a Maine coon and yes he was very large for his age. All of a sudden he got sick. He was diagnosed with kidney failure. I did everything I could to save his life. I was referred to three different vets and I didn't care how much the cost.
Just when he seemed to be getting better Draco crashed the next day. My daughter stayed home to be with him. He waited for me to get home to care for him. Right after I left to run an errand he died on my daughter's bed. Three of my children were present and Draco was not alone during his last moments.
Draco was only one year and nineteen months old. Even though he was taken at an early age he will forever have a special place in my heart.

I am so thankful that I gave him a good home where he was truly loved and for this I am grateful.
