my Pettie
My Pettie, he was the most sweetest dog in the world... losing him it started 8/21/2017.
It started with him throwing up just a little. Then I saw he wasn't eating his dog food well. Tuesday night I was eating a chicken pot pie so I gave him some and he ate it like he never ate before, so the next day I got him some from the store. Well he barely ate any I just thought maybe he had an upset stomach.
Well by Wednesday night I saw he wasn't eating anything, not the pot pie, nothing and I could start to feel the bones from his spine. Well Thursday he seemed to be better, he was drinking water and nibbling here and there, then Friday came and he was worse, throwing up and he had the runs.
I called the vet and the only opening they had was at 4:30. Well my husband worked at 4 and there was no way I could take him cos he couldn't take off work and I don't have a car. Well by Friday night he just laid there, wouldn't open his eyes, wouldn't lift his head nothing. I knew he was dying.
Saturday morning came and he was 20 times worse. I had an appointment for him at 10am, well I couldn't wait plus I knew if I took him they would use all the money I had to try and fix him but it would only be temporary and what was I going to do in another week or when he got sick all over again.
When I finally found a vet to take him right then Pettie was just laying there all limp hardly moving at all. He was so sick he would have died within the hour, so we spent a few minutes with him and then we put him to sleep. He never opened his eyes the whole time we were there, he just laid there. I kissed him and told him how much I loved him and he was gone.
