'Butterflies of My Pets'

by Megan
(Las Vegas)

These things never happen, like in our backyard no butterflies ever come there. Ever since some of our pets have passed away, we see millions of them. The first visit, the first butterfly that we saw was white and I stopped to look I felt and saw my pets heart beat and face, they have arrived!!! As my heart pounded with joy savor memories came back. When it fluttered away my heart passed, knowing they would visit again.

The second visit I once again was out in my back yard, an orange and black butterfly appeared, heart pounded fast once again saying hi again to them. "See you soon" I called out as they disappeared into the sky.

The third visit my Mom was outside, bringing one of our dogs outside. There appeared a huge (once again) orange and black butterfly, and my Mom's very first thought was Churro!!! Awesome memories came back, and my Mom was very happy to see her girl again!!!

Our animals have visited us before waiting to see us at Rainbow Bridge. Signs have happened to our family and we all can't wait to see our beloved pets. This is for them "We love you!!!" If you have lost a loved one, human or animal, come and make a diary, quote, poem, tribute, story, and more. This site is really helping me with my pet losses, and I will promise you anything that it will help you to. Good luck to all the pets out there and you to!!! Dedicated to all my pets I lost.

Since my beloved dog passed away a few days ago I saw two butterflies. One flew toward me, another one set on the front door when I walked in and circled above me and the other dog.

My precious little doggy
by: Elude Dillon

On last Sunday my 13 year old Pomeranian very suddenly collapsed and I had to have her put to sleep. As I left the animal hospital I felt like I couldn't even breathe. I pulled onto the busy avenue knowing she had died mere minutes before, and wondering where she was and if she was afraid. Waiting for a traffic light to change, a large. Yellow Swallowtail Butterfly dropped right over my windshield, and somehow I just knew it was her!

When I parked at home some 20 miles away, another yellow swallowtail breezed around a corner in front of me! I could hardly believe my eyes. Now, as the week has gone by, I know this sounds crazy, but when I get home from work (missing her the most) I have called out her name, and focusing out a lofty window, a yellow butterfly has appeared twice. After reading these internet commentaries, I know I'm not losing it, and feel so blessed with this knowledge of life, love, death and resurrection.

Thank you God. I love you forever little Tula.

Our beloved dog Niko went to Heaven Sunday. We live out in the country and although Niko's favorite place to lay was under the porch, the day before he went outside and laid under our bedroom window, and that is where he wanted to stay.

I knew his time was coming, we were blessed with him for 12 1/2 years. But when I thought of him passing, I saw him in a field of tall grass chasing butterflies. After reading this, I am hoping in some way I to will be blessed in seeing many butterflies, which will be our Niko telling us hi. :)

Butterflies from heaven
by: Tami

This is so true, everytime I see a butterfly I feel the presence of all my beloved pets that have passed. It is such a strange feeling, but so real. I miss all of them, they are my babies. And they seem to only come around when I lose one or when I am feeling down. My pets are all I have in life because I have dedicated my life to helping all homeless and abused animals. I chose this life. If it weren't for the butterflies I would always be sad. I am happy others have had the same experience, because a lot of people laugh at me. God bless all of you.

This is so weird. When my Shiloh had to be put to sleep in August of last year (lymphoma), I too had a butterfly follow me around the backyard. But the thing that made me smile when my heart was broken was that one of my favorite songs I listen to is "Dog and Butterfly" by Heart. I used to sit out on our patio with Shiloh and turn my iPod on and listen to this song. I felt like Shiloh was telling me that he will always be with me. One thing I know I was blessed to have him in my life and he made me a better person. He took with him a piece of my heart and that will connect us until we meet again.

Churro will visit in dreams

I love your tribute, it made me cry. I suggest you go watch a movie called Where The Red Fern Grows. It explains the supernatural events with butterflies that you had and shows you how to retain memories of those lost pets.. great movie, watch it and you will cry and laugh and feel Churro closer to you.
