Mia
Mia was a rescue at 1 year old. She was a Husky/German Shepherd and so grateful to be rescued. She was with us about 13 years. The day we knew we had to put her down, my husband took her on one last nice car ride on the highway, and McDonalds for a cheeseburger. I remember racing home from work (an hour away) and she held on until I could tell her it was okay to go, and loved on her.
Since then we have had odd things happen. I could hear Mia singing to the noon siren - plain as day. Butterflies circling around when I talk to her.
The other day I was at a car show (Mia loved car rides and would often yell at us to take her on one.) So I am sitting at the show, and I say Mia, where are you? It's been awhile since I have seen you.. and next thing I know a beautiful butterfly starts circling my car and I, I felt comfort, I watched as she flew around me, and over to some other cars at the show and into the woods. I smiled, and started to tear up, comfort, and peace surrounded me.
