Zeus had his unique ways of communicating with us - his repertoire of barks, growls, and guttural sounds is serious, frantic, and hilarious all at the same time!
He recently took to growling at my wife and me at the dinner table. Every night at around 8:30 or 9:00 he would start a barely-audible growl which would slowly grow in volume and intensity, finally concluding in a sharp "WOOF".
He was telling us that it was bedtime, and that we needed to head upstairs to our room so he could plop down on the pillows I had set up for him next to my side of the bed!
