Alan was very encouraging re: Alfie. He outlined the options. This included going to Glasgow for Oncology treatment.
It is so difficult to decide how to progress. He seems to be telling us that the site is healing well and much less inflamed. Cancer treatment would have to include radiotherapy or chemo as the site is too difficult to excise.
With antibiotics and steroids, there is a good chance that the tumour can be arrested and a good to reasonable life be enjoyed in the short term. Alfie would hate to be in Glasgow for 5 days. I feel I will take the conservative treatment and pursue a course of herbal therapy to strengthen his immune system.
