Dear Charlie,
I just want to tell you how much you are loved and missed. How much I wish you were here, only Leya and her Mom could imagine. I believe Bud and Duke would be doing much better, if you were by their side too. Then, I do believe you have been helping them, for they have been exceptionally brave and strong, just like you. I felt your presence many of times, but it's still breaking my heart that I cannot see or feel you.
When the day so sadly comes Bud and Duke must leave me, I know you will guide them for safe trip to the Bridge and you will give me the strength to see that all my boys will live in me forever.
Please don't let them say goodbye to me, because I would not tolerate that word and, more importantly, because it will only be temporary. Please promise them that our happy family will soon be reunited.
