'A Silent House'

by Teresa
(Manchester UK)

A silent welcome to my home,

Stillness all around

Toys piled up unused.

The joy has gone.

No boy to welcome me,

no furry body around my legs,

Oh, I miss him so.

My Jersey cow, just black on White

My gorgeous Charlie, with his winning ways, his quirks.

So soft, his fur, so loud his purr

My little gentle pet, so loving, giving,

You filled the house with joy - my loyal best friend,

My special pet, my precious baby boy.
