Your Pet Loss Poems

'Home Again'

by Marvelee Higgins

I won’t be at your side today.
I go ahead to lead the way.

Don’t look for me, I am not there,
But I will know that you still care.

You’ll feel my presence in the dark,
Or the welcome shade of a quiet park.

I’ll wait for you at the rainbow’s end,
To welcome you back home again.
