NO matter how long I live I will never regret not one pet I have taken in and loved and subsequently let go. Pets are such a wonderful part of our lives and no human being has ever been touched by a cold wet nose and not been warmed in the heart quite the way a dog lover is.
So sorry for your loss. May this time of grief pass quickly and just fond memories remain.

I found this poem very heartwarming. It has been over 3 weeks since I last saw my Clawed"ette".
This is the first time I have been able to read something like this and not get so tearful that I could not get through it all. Thank You.
