'I'll Look For You Tomorrow'

I loved you from the start,
The moment that we met,
You found your way into my heart,
And became my faithful pet.

Our years together were too few,
How you loved to play and roam,
But I knew God loved you, too,
That's why he called you Home.

I'll look for you tomorrow,
Maybe call your name,
Then remember with such sorrow,
Why you never came.

I'll look upon your vacant bed,
And your empty dinner bowl,
I'll wipe away the tears I shed,
And embrace you in my soul.

I prayed so hard that you could stay,
Though I knew you had to go,
Until we meet again someday,
I'll love and miss you so.
