RIP My Sweet Buddy -

You were taken from me far too soon.
My heart aches for you and I'm blue as the moon. You were the best Buddy I've ever had.
Without you life feels very sad.
I'm trying so hard to be strong
and understand why things went wrong.
I'm very thankful for the years we spent together,
but I still wish I could've made you better.
I'll never forget your sweet little face
and know you're in a better place.
This was all so sudden and I'm still in shock.
You've always been my rock.
Beside me when I was sick and in pain.
You sure fit and lived up to your name.
Letting you go was one of the hardest things I've ever done.
In the end the cancer won.
I miss you with all my heart
and wish we didn't have to be apart.
I will love you till the day I die
and do my best not to cry.
My handsome baby boy you’ll always be,
watching over me.
I look forward to the day I get to see you again.
Until then rest in peace my special friend.
Mommy misses you so very much
and wishes I could give you that special touch.
I'd give everything I own to have you back.
You are the only thing I lack.
Good bye my sweet Buddy. I will always love you.
I'm going to try my best not to be blue.
Run free over the Rainbow Bridge.

<3 2/18/14 Buddy 8 years old.

(Started with a tail amputation due to a growth we discovered, then he fought severe anemia, and then the vet found a large mass in his abdomen which had spread through his intestinal tract. I had to make the very difficult decision to have him put down as it was inoperable sarcoma. My life will never be the same. He was my best buddy and my everything.)
