I had no place to call my own,
No pillow, no blanket or even a home.
Starving and wondering where to roam,
Looking for food or even a bone.

I prayed to the great spirit up above,
Please send someone filled with love.
Give me peace like the pure white dove,
Along you came and gave me your love.

I gave you back my love in every way,
To let you know I never forgot that day.
My life was happy I'm glad to say,
I loved you too in my own way.

So remember me always in your heart,
As friends only once we must part.
One day again we will have a new start,
That day we will never more part.
