'You Released My Heart'

by Leah Jackson
(Giltbrook, Nottinghamshire)

You released my heart,
and now I've gone,
but will you promise,
that you'll stay strong.

My life was cut short,
and you know I'll fade,
My heart has gone to you,
and has never been betrayed.

The chain has broken,
and you know I'll wait,
To see you some other day,
please don't feel hate.

The chain will heal again,
I promise you that,
Now I'm not in so much pain,
you'll see me again some other day.

You released my heart,
and now I've gone,
but will you promise,
that you'll stay strong.

Now I'm with my Gizmo,
that left so soon,
We're together again,
and we'll walk hand in hand,
down heaven's lane.
