'A Little Big Friend'

Moose

Moose

Moose was Maddi's sister. We loved her, cared for her, and generally made her feel at home. One day, my dad saw Moose on the ground, not moving. We made her feel comfortable and took her to the new vet clinic and they said it could be a brain tumour. She was put to sleep and we brought her home and buried her in the garden. We brought Maddi out to say goodbye.

This is a poem I made up for her:

A heart as soft as velvet, and eyes like gold,
will still be the memory my fingertips hold.

Cloudy feet and a storm above,
is more than enough for me to love.

Close to my heart, her memory is kept,
to love, to cherish and never forget.
