I'm so so sorry you lost Mr. Binx. What a pretty kitty - he looks like he's giving you "high five". I, too, lost my beloved boy, Wolfgang, last November 8 so I know the pain you must be feeling. Fluid in the lungs is exactly what Wolfgang had as well and I knew if I waited too long he would suffocate. You absolutely did the right thing. Sending you comfort and know that he'll always live in your heart. God bless.
