Your Pet Loss Stories

'My Biggest Fan'

by Dale
(Milwaukee Wis.)

I had five cats, four boys one girl.
Now it's just me and the boys.
On Jan. 28 2013, I had to say good-by to my Dusty.

Dusty became a member of my family in Jan. 2005. She was my sisters cat but my sister had other cats also, and one of them would pick on Dusty so my sister asked me if I would take her.

She was my second cat. It took a few days for her to adjust, but she did.

I like to sing with my karaoke at home and one day when I was singing a song, Dusty jumped from a chair on to my shoulder and started rubbing her face on mine.

That soon became routine. Every time I would sing, Dusty would be on my shoulder.

She didn't always come when I called her, but if I really wanted her all I had to do is start singing and she would come running and jump up on my lap and lay her front legs over my shoulder and rub her face on mine.

It worked every time.

Dusty truly was my biggest fan.
