I am so, so sorry for the loss of your dear Smokey. I will never understand how some people can brutalize an animal just for sport.
As I read your story, about the abusive part, I understood because I too was abused as a child.
I share your pain, as I read, I cried. I cried for you, for Smokey. Now you have your own furry friend, he is whole, happy, content and waiting for you at Rainbow Bridge.

Sorry for your loss this story is a little hard for me not to lose my religon over, makes me want to really hurt the people that hurt Smokey. But I know in my heart Smokey is in a much better place. What a great gift Smokey was in your life.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your Smokey. Your love for him really shows through in your words. The two who did such a terrible thing--one can wonder if they even have souls.

My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. In time, you will remember only the good times you had with your loved one. I don't know if time heals all wounds, as they say, but it does change us enough so that we can deal with whatever has happened to us.
