I am very sorry for your loss, Stacey (and husband). An extremely painful time for you both. You and Brandi were best friends. 13 years is long time.
I like what you said about your home and yard will always be Brandi's. We lost our beloved Spike (lab, almost 10)over a year ago. I miss him alot. Like you with your beautiful Brandi, I love my Spike still and think of him; look at his pictures and smile/get teary eyed. We have a new puppy now, (another lab, his name is Josh. I tell Josh, 'Spike would love you, or, you would love Spike.' I look at Spike's picture (beside his wooden urn) and say good morning to him.
