Today I had to say goodbye to my beloved friend of 17 years.
Comet, You were never one who liked to be restrained and now I have set you free on your greatest adventure. We had many adventures together as you liked to break free every so often and therefore was known by name by the dog catcher when we lived in Texas. You were always such a free spirit and never wanted pity for anything. You always loved us unconditionally and were a great mama to Little Leo.
You are now released from the diabetes and renal failure and pain. You will be missed and will always remain in our hearts.
I love you and hope to be with you again when it is my turn to leave this earth.
