We only had you one year, but from the moment we brought you home from the shelter you made our lives complete. I was sad we were getting older and our children grown and their children teenagers we were no longer needed until we got you. You brought joy and smiles to us daily and you so loved your Daddy. You liked him better but I know you loved me too, I did everything for you and enjoyed it.
I only wish that fateful day I had left you in the house. Seeing you break free from the leash and getting hit by that car plays over and over in my mind. Knowing you died instantly is the only comfort that you didn't suffer.
We love you and always will our sweet baby girl,
