Ginger at age 9
We lost our nine year old Golden Retriever, Ginger, this morning to acute pancreatitis with sudden onset. She was a sweet, but stubborn, dog and a great watchdog. We have another five year old Golden Retriever named Pumpkin who misses her already. They were good friends and got along perfectly.
Ginger was a loner, but Pumpkin always sat next to her. Anyone who loses a Golden Retriever knows they lost a true family member, because they are more human than most breeds.
