'Peanut'

by Lynn Homeier
(Elmhurst, IL)

On Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012 we had to put our beloved dog Peanut to sleep. He was no longer able to walk on his own and was very uncomfortable.

Peanut was brought into my life by my husband Steve. He was big boy. We were never sure what breed mix he was or even his actual age since he was a rescue dog. The main thing we knew about Peanut was that he was a sweetheart. He was my husbands constant companion during their years together. He was the best dog I have ever met in my life. We will love him and miss him forever.

Peanut, I know you are at peace now and comfortable. Howling for fun and eating as many treats as possible. I look forward to the day we meet again.
