'Pooka'

Pooka was a 14 year black and tan pekingese he passed from this earth in his sleep on July 2 2009. Pooka was my surf dog and he loved going on rides. He loved pensacola beach and was well know by the locals at ft pickens where we went camping many times. He survived two major huricanes, hurricane Ivan and hurricane Dennis.
I am an army veteran and I have never experienced this sense of loss. Pooka was my best friend. Pekingese dogs were the royal dogs of the chinese kings, they one of the oldest breeds on earth.
The loss of this little guy is a blow to me and it will take time to heal. Pooka was at my side and still is in spirit.
I love you Pooka.
