Ready To Go

Papa, I'm ready to go
You've done a great job with me, but I'm ready to go
My legs hurt, my ears don't work and my belly feels sick
I know it will be hard on you, but I'm ready to go
Please don't cry, I'll be better off
I'll find trees and flowers to sniff
You and Mama did all you could, I know, but I'm ready to go
I loved you as you loved me, but I'm ready to go
I like my special place under the persimmon tree, lots of shade, my kind of spot!
Thanks for all you've done. I'm ready to go....
