I Miss Her

After school one day I arrived home. Everything was at normal. At around 4 pm I went upstairs to start homework. I noticed my cat on the base of the staircase breathing hard. I knew something was wrong. I called my dad. He was on his way home. At this point I'm in tears telling her to stay strong.

After about 15 minutes of her struggling she released her last breath. I kept crying after that. I was the only one there besides my brother's voice trying to comfort me from the phone. I couldn't even talk. My dad came home and we took her to the vet to leave her there. I cried for the next 2 days. I went to school and looked like crap. I felt so alone.

Now, 2 weeks later, I still feel the pain. My mom believes she waited for me. I don't know what I believe. I feel almost empty inside. My other cat doesn't even seem to know what happened. He is more affectionate though. I still cry about her and I miss her dearly.
