My Tezzie

Tezzie came to me as a rescue cat when he was 11 years old. He had previously lived with a lady in Liverpool who had died and it was my great good fortune that he was taken to a local 'old cat rescue' home where he chose me as his new slave.

When he came to me he immediately checked out my house and then settled down for a meal - it had to be meat and jelly. He was a big black and white cat with a pink and black nose. He rapidly got to know the neighbours who all loved him and in fact one of them found him checking out her bedroom! She said 'Hello Tezzie' and he purred at her.

He spent most of his life purring and was so loving and playful. He had his own box of toys and would sit purring amongst them and when he wanted me to play with him he would throw some toys out of his box and if I did not respond immediately he would scratch the furniture.

He loved the garden and spent hours climbing the trees or the trellis so he could watch the birds. He rarely caught a vole or mouse but would always bring them home. He died at the age of 18 after injuring his back. I am so thankful that he was never ill but he hurt himself falling from a tree.

He was the love of my life and I feel completely bereft without him. He can never be replaced- my beloved boy.
