At which stage of pet loss grief do you feel you are currently at?

Changes daily.

Julie and Chelsea's Story so far

It has been seven years. I miss my cocker Chelsea like it just happened. Sure I don't cry every day now but as the anniversary approaches the waves of grief can knock me to my knees.

My hero. Got in between an abusive ex husband of mine and braced for the blow to protect me.

In the end she wanted to die alone. I chased her all over the house but she wanted to get away and be alone. She died 6 feet away from me and I should have held her but when I tried she would get away. How could I have not held her. She probably thought she died alone. I was there. I should have held her. She didn't seem to want it. I am so sorry for this. I will never forgive myself.

I am so sorry Chels. I WAS there. I love you with everything I am.
