Our dog Maggie is peacefully asleep, unaware that this will be her last night in her house. Tomorrow we will take her to the vet where she will be freed from her suffering...and ours will begin. How fortunate we have been to have loved her for nearly 13 years. Your quotes made me cry, but somehow comforted me as well, as I know I am not alone in feeling so emotional at this horribly difficult time.
