Being himself
Nemo was my ride or die, honestly.
I got him from my mom when I was 5. In a way, he was my caretaker. When he was in his last days, I became his.
I’m so proud of him and happy with the time he spent with my family and I. There’s no other that is like him, nor will there ever be. Although he was quite the small pint, he was the toughest around.
I always joked that he was immortal since he lived for so long. Part of me still believes it. I know that he’s still here. My memories of him haven’t faded. He is my Immortal Beloved.
Nemo,
I miss you so much buddy. This house without you, and my heart without you feels like a void. When you died, it’s as if time stood still, yet it kept moving without you. I hope you are eating all of the sweet potatoes and treats you want.
Thank you for being in every step of the way. I know you couldn’t complete my master’s program with me. I’ll do it for both of us.
Thank you for being my bestest friend.
I love you, so much.
