My cat Sandy was the only friend I had when my mother died.
It was 7 a.m. on a Sunday when my Dad called to say she was gone. I let out a wail and Sandy jumped on my chest and started rubbing her face all over mine.
She stayed there for at least an hour. I have never forgotten her for that.
I thank God for letting me borrow her for fourteen years.
