So sorry to hear about your loss

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I recently lost my baby boy Mel. He is the love of my life. I loved him more than I love my own husband. Because he never judged me and he was the only one that was there for me unconditionally at all times. They are our children and nothing can replace them. I hope that time will help heal the pain. For now I am just going through the motion of life. I know that we will be with them again when our time comes.

Oh, Lorna, I feel so very sorry for you. I've just read your posts in the diary and I'm sat here with tears streaming down my face. Let me just say that you are not alone in your grief and never let anyone tell you that you shouldn't be grieving for your best buddy. My boy follows me everywhere and goes wherever I go, and I know I will be in pieces like you when he passes, he's 14 this year so I really do thank god every day I have with him.

I truly believe that if we are lucky we get to have a "dog of a lifetime" that understands us and has a very strong bond with us, much more so than others. Baxter sounds like he was your "dog of a lifetime". Remember the good times and think of him always with a warm heart. xx
