I'm so sorry for your loss. I understand your pain. Grieving is different for everyone. You never truly get over your grief, you grow around it. Your life grows around it. Don't let those final, sad moments define your relationship with Sam. It was so much more than that.

Do things in his honour for other animals that he would be proud of. But know this, he knew how much you loved and still love him. Our fur babies are so intuitive, he felt it and you felt it without the need for words.
