Share Your Pet Loss Stories

Through my own experiences of pet loss I've learnt that every one of our pets is unique and when they leave us they leave behind so many wonderful memories.

When they suffer a loss of a pet, many people find that they want to write their experiences down. Not only to capture their memories but also as a way of making their way through pet grief and moving on to pet grief recovery.

"Not the least hard thing to bear when they go from us, these quiet friends, is that they carry away with them so many years of our own lives." - John Galsworthy

Writing can be a really effective way of expressing your feelings and remembering what made your pet so special to you. Being a pet owner myself and one that has loved and lost many pets, I remember feeling the need to not only share my pet's story and to read the experiences of others coping with pet death and pet bereavement, but also to find stories similar to my own.

For this reason as well as dividing your pet grief stories according to pet type, I will also be creating pages for specific types of pet loss and have added a Search this Site Page to enable you to find the stories you are searching for as quickly as possible. It is my hope that doing so will provide extra comfort for those suffering the loss of a pet in especially traumatic circumstances.
