'My Ploopy on the Rainbow Bridge'

Ploopy

Ploopy

My 11 month old cat, Ploopy, was my first cat ever. Even with 4 dogs in the house, I truly believe my relationship with my cat was one-of-a kind.

Three days ago I took him to the vet because he was having trouble breathing. He was quickly diagnosed with Feline Leukemia and further testing proved he had a really bad case of Pyothorax. There was nothing we could do.

He passed away yesterday at 5:30 pm.

Last night, as I was sitting in my family room crying, I distinctly heard him! I could even smell him! This really startled me, but I didn't think much of it. All of a sudden, as I got up to go to the kitchen, I felt him between my legs and when I looked down, his favorite toy was right there between my feet.

I know this sounds completely insane, and everyone says it's my mind playing tricks on me... but I like to think Ploopy is playing on the Rainbow Bridge, waiting for me.

More visits please
by: Steve

I am so sorry for your loss. Ploopy looks too innocent to be called up. I wish I could say magic words to heal your pain. Please know our hearts are with you. My girl's picture is under Mitze-eyes of Blue. It still hurts me that she is gone but I have come to accept it.

When I was young and my grandfather died I actually saw him in the middle of the night. He had an aura of sparkles around and him he reached out to me. I got scared and ran back to bed as I knew he had died. How I wish I would have reached for him. I think we do not know how to use our brains all the way but we receive messages that we do not recognize. I really think Ploopy is drawn to you by your intense love for him. Maybe you will be fortunate enough for another visit. If so do not tense up. Relax and let the moment take you where it may. I sure hope there is way to contact us.

I say this with tears running as I think my girl visited me. It was a brief moment. Her meow woke me up. In my mind I saw her clear as a bell. Then the rational part of me discounted it but my heart does not. My sympathies to you during this extremely difficult time. We are made from our life experiences and Ploopy is part of you now. You will carry his love forward, be worthy of it and give it to others when the time is right. Thank you for giving him a home and being there for him when he needed you the most.

Ploopy

I truly believe that your little Ploopy has been to visit you. I know that I have visits from my Blue from time to time when I find his fur in very curious places. Such a short life for such a beautiful little cat. But Ploopy was very lucky to have someone that loved him so much.
