'Rocky Lives On'

(Southbury, CT.)

Our beloved Dachshund, Rocky brought continual joy to our lives until he passed away on Nov 25th 2012. We were devastated, this dog was so full of love and his eyes looked right into your soul. I prayed for a sign that he was alright and with his daddy on the other side. Feathers have always been a sign for me in the past that a loved one was near, like my late husband who had passed away suddenly 11 years before from a heart attack when Rocky was only three. Rocky was our Rock and licked out tears away and helped us through that tough time. Especially for my children this dog saved us!

The day after he passed, as I hoped for this sign to appear to me. I was sweeping near the couch where he loved to nap and a little perfect white feather appeared, it looked just like a bigger white feather that I had near my late husband's picture frame where he was holding Rocky and our other Doxie Sparky in the picture. He was crazy about Rocky and Sparky. Rocky, who was our first dog was very close to him, and he loved him so. Now there was a little white feather to match the bigger one and I knew they were together. Both feathers are sitting by their photo.

Also, Rocky has a super special bond with my son Matthew, he was his first dog, they were soul mates, best friends for life! Matt was so sad. When Rocky passed, we had Rocky cremated and were told that his ashes were going to be at least two weeks to get back, but then we got a call... the ashes were coming back early, on my son Matt's birthday! Rocky wanted to be with Matt back in his home on Matt's birthday and send a message to Matt that he is still with him.

Finally, Rocky used to always snuggle behind my legs in bed with me. We have another dog Sparky, who always sleeps on the other side of the bed... but last night he snuggled in the same spot as Rocky used to and it felt like Rocky was there snuggling behind my knees again! I really felt him with me, I know his love is all around us, protecting and loving us still. I love you Rocky! I know Daddy is taking good care of you. Till we meet again xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox

A lovely story
by: Coral, UK

What a wonderful story, so sorry for your loss. I lost my Springer Spaniel Ralph on 5th November 2011 and this was my 2nd Christmas without him. So hard! I still cry for my boy often but I know he is no longer suffering. I truly believe that all of our animal friends and family are together and waiting for us for when it is our time to go. Oh what a day that will be to look upon the faces of those we love and had lost so long ago. I honor my Ralph's memory now by doing as much as I can to help other animals who aren't as fortunate and promote animal protection as much as I can.
With love. x

A friend of mine tells me that it came to her that her husband who had died had a job in heaven and it was keeper of animals. She told me that she was sure that her husband who I knew well would watch over my Morgan, my Dachshund who was almost 18 years of age when she passed just as I am sure he and your husband will watch over Rocky. God Bless you and your family.
