I took you to the vet today,

Hoping they'd have good things to say,

And even though I loved you so,

They said I needed to let you go.


I miss you now more than you know,

For my love still seems to grow.

And as I cry, I think of you,

And all the things we would do.


For you were loved, I have to say,

And I'll think of you each and every day.
