What a sad loss, it's so instant. Yes, you are right, we must treasure our pets (and our loved ones) everyday. We don't know when God will take them back to heaven. Assured, she's in heaven now, a little angel guarding you all the way. :)

I just saw your story about your silky terrier Sassy. I am SO sad for you. What a horrible thing to happen. I worry about coyotes a lot because I have friends that have lost cats to them. There is nothing really that can help but time to heal. I am not sure if it helps but I lost my little dog Nicki last year. I posted a true story about what happened after she was gone. Please read it and know that it's not just my dog that survived - all of them do. Know that your little Sassy is okay.
