'Em'

Em was an absolute stunner, she never did anything to hurt anyone and it killed me inside the day we had to get her put down. She'd been with me 12 years and in those years she became more like a best friend to me. I could tell her anything and now God has cruelly taken her away. I can only say I'm glad she only had a week of suffering before we knew it was time for her to go. I will never forget you Em. I was with you till your very last breath, cuddling you as I always had.

I wrote this a while back, cause I knew eventually the day would come and this is still true now:

'Never Forget'

Don’t worry mummy, there’s no need to shed any tears, I’m here for now. I’m getting much more tired mummy, all I want is to stay in my bed. But promise me mummy, you won’t shed any tears?

Don’t worry baby girl, everything’s going to be okay, I’m here for you now. I know you’re slowing down now baby girl, but you just hold in there. I can’t promise you though baby girl, these tears can’t help but fall.

Please mummy, will you hold me tonight, let me fall asleep in your arms. Please mummy, because I’m scared one day I won’t wake up. But promise me mummy, you won’t shed any tears?

It's okay baby girl, I’m not leaving, I’ll let you fall asleep in my arms tonight. Don’t worry baby girl, if you leave this Earth tonight just know I’m with you. I can’t promise you though baby girl, these tears can’t help but fall.

I want you to know mummy, I’m not in any pain. So if I leave tonight mummy, just remember that. But promise me mummy, you won’t shed any tears.

Baby girl, baby girl are you okay? You’re not breathing baby girl… I guess it was your time. I’m glad I didn’t make that promise baby girl, because these tears can’t help but fall.

Don’t worry mummy, I’m safe now. I’m in a nice place, they call it Rainbow Bridge. I’m waiting for you mummy, I know it may be a while but I’m always here mummy. I forgive you mummy for letting the tears fall, but promise me mummy, promise you’ll never forget me?

Baby girl, I miss you, I hope you’re safe up there, maybe one day we’ll meet again. I promise you baby girl I’ll never forget you.
