Goodbye

Goodbye my friend I will miss you terribly

I hurt, I cry, I am so sad

You brought a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day

You were and always will be my very best friend

I did the best I could for you until the very end

I brought you home a little ball of fur

Your gentle nudge let me know all would be fine

Your loyalty was just sublime

You always came when called

You were always kind and gentle

Except when there was a squirrel

I miss you and I do cry

But I know you are happy and finally pain free

It was the hardest thing I had to do to let you go away

I hugged you as you took your last breath and told I love you

I hope you are having fun in the fields of happiness

You will always be close to my heart

And when I pass I know you will be there

And we will never be apart

Until that day my dear friend I will keep your picture and you will always be in my heart.
