Your Pet Tributes

'Muffy'

by Thom Davis
(Benicia, CA USA)

Muffy died, that's a poor start
But this is not about her heart
It is about how much I miss
Each day with her and her sweet kiss.

When she was young
and so was I
we'd run and run
And then she'd sigh.

But as we aged
She'd like a lift
Into my arms
Where she would drift

Off to sleep
in Buddha position
Until a treat
Was in the kitchen.

I miss her so
My white little Westie
She had to go
So God, come get me.

Oh, NO, not yet
I've much to do
But when I'm set
I'll come to you.
