'I JUST LOST MY BESTEST FRIEND'
by: Mary

Dear Vanessa...
In September I lost my 12 year old Great Dane,Barabbas, I know how you feel. I felt the same way myself.
I am not going to tell you that this is going to be easy to get through because its not, but, the pain will ease in time.
Its okay for you to feel the way you do. We all have. You have to take it just one day at a time and work your way through this horrible time. One step at a time..baby steps.
Some say that when a child passes over that a dog will go to get them...children trust dogs and will follow. Perhaps a child needed your beloved pet....
She is not gone Vanessa...she is right there with you....and her spirit will remain for as long as you need her to stay.
This year we put up a Memorial Christmas Tree to celebrate Barabbas' life...I made a college of pictures of him, I had his picture done on canvas and it hangs in the familyroom.
Celebrate her life, not her death...just remember all the things you are feeling right now is NORMAL..
Remember the good times, and keep her forever in your heart...she cannot die if she lives there.
I don't have the answers but I will hold you close in prayer that you will find the strength to get through this time.
Mary
