Real Life Rainbow Bridge Stories

'It Wasn't a Coincidence!'

by BB
(Kentucky, USA)

I had to put my boy, Blue (12 y/o Aussie Shepherd) down last August. He had gone blind and had liver cancer. I had him cremated and picked up his ashes the following week.

That night---a warm summer's night---I went out to the backyard to spread some of Blue's ashes and to have a moment to reflect on our life together. No sooner did I finish when I just happened to look up into the sky. What did I see but a shooting star. I KNOW in my heart that it was Blue telling me that he was OK. I will never forget that moment.
