'Where is Gus?'

by Madison
(Covington, Georgia, USA)

Hi my name is Madison and I am 12 and a BIG animal lover.... And I have lost so many... But 2 really hurt me bad!!! Here is one:

It was on April 1st 2012, I was asleep in my room, when I woke up my Mom came in my room to tell me something.. She said "Good morning baby girl, so uh... I something to tell you" I said "Is It Lala?" (My horse), and she said "No, Lala is fine... But Gus is gone." (Our dog, that was my best friend) I yelled WHAT!!!! And I thought it was a joke because it was April Fools day. But she took me to his crate and he was gone.

My Mom thinks he got loose...

But I think he is at the Rainbow Bridge, because that morning I was sitting on the couch looking out the window... And then the sun was shining brightly through the dining room window, and then I felt a light pressure and some coldness on my lap... Like he was lightly laying on my lap, and after that I felt relieved and happy, I think it was him telling me that he is ok now!!!

I believe that me and Gus had a weird but special connection... Because the night he got loose... I had this weird feeling all of sudden, the feeling was telling me that Gus was gone... And I kinda just blew it off.. Thinking I was weird. But now I believe Gus is waiting for me at the Rainbow bridge.

Gus is playing with Bandit
by: Mackenzie

Madison, I'm so sorry, and you are a very brave girl, being able to deal with losing so many animals. Having an animal disappear is horrible- not only are they gone, you don't know what happened. The night my Bandit disappeared, I had the same weird feeling, and a vision of him running like the wind and getting hit by a car.... 30 minutes later my boyfriend called me at work and told me he'd run after a dog while they were playing frisbee and run off, and that he'd been searching for half an hour. Bandit never came home and we never found him. But I believe God gave me that vision so I could know he'd moved on to the Rainbow bridge without having to wonder forever what happened to him.
