Tears
by: Anonymous

Oh my god I am crying so much as I write this to you once again, you are the mirror image of me,
I have thought myself strange that I keep my rats bodies wrapped in a cotton hankerchief in the house not wanting to let go, when I do they each get held one last time. Please don't think me crazy but I have this song I sing to them, 'Hush Little Baby', then I put a piece of their favorite food in the pot and a note to Rolo that they are coming to the Rainbow Bridge and would he look after them. They are then buried with a plant then kept with me in the house. A friend of mine makes little knitted rats so she knitted me a little black and white hooded one and put a little bandana round his neck with his name on it. I too cannot bear the thought of my babies being out in the cold, love again to a kindred spirit.
