'Theresa, Zeus and Shimma'

My Shimma and Zeus

Hi,

Been another bad night and day, thought about them constantly, so many memories.

My son has them in his room, he paid to have them privately cremated at High Halden in Ashford. They are snuggled up together, side by side in their caskets and he kisses them every night before bed, such a strong man I couldn't do it.

We have a card for each of them and the poem is beautiful, it's called for 'Those I love, for those who love me'...

When I am gone release me, let me go,
I have so many things to see and do,
You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears,
Be happy that we had so many years.

I gave you love and you can only guess,
How much you gave me of happiness,
I thank you for the love you have shown,
But now its time I travelled alone.

So grieve a while for me, if grieve you must,
Then let your grief be comforted by trust,
It is only for a while that we must part
So bless the memories within your heart.

I won't be far away, for life goes on,
though you cant see or touch me, I'll be here,
And if you listen with your heart, you will
hear,
All my love around you soft and clear.

And then when you must come this way alone,
I'll be there to greet you with a smile and
a 'WELCOME HOME'

Yeah it has been a bad day and I still can't come to terms with it, they were not dogs, they were my life.
