Your Pet Loss Poems

'Buddy the Bold'

by Dianna Petrytus
(Litchfield Park, Arizona)

B - is for the beautiful blue eyes that shined in your beautiful face.

U - is for the unconditional love you gave me for over 20 years.

D - is for your life long devotion.

D - is for your desire to stay with me for as long as you did.

Y - is for you the most wonderful precious dog anyone could ever have.

Your love was unconditional
You honor and valor admirable.
You were a trooper til the end
As you were from the day your life would begin.

Our time on earth I shall always cherish
You love and honor a memory to be savored
And if there was one more thing I could do for you
It would be to keep you with me forever.

Til this life ends and til the last beat of my heart
Just remember later we will never be again be apart.
It won't be long my beautiful boy,
When you and your momma will be playing with your favorite toy.

Til then my love, you are always in my heart,
and even after death we shall have a fresh start.

Buddy I love you and miss you so much
Just remember my boy, and never forget
That this life is short but forever is it.
