I wrote this poem for all of us who have lost a beloved pet. I have read so many stories and felt the grief of so many that are feeling the same way as I do. I want everyone to know that you are not alone in your time of grief and suffering. I read somewhere about why do they only live such a short time, and it said could you imagine the pain if we had there love for 25 to 30 years then would lose them. I know I can't. Just after losing them after 7 and 14 years it is gut wrenching.
